Terms & Conditions
By using Emily Rose Pet Grooming services, you acknowledge and agree that you have read, understand and agree to all terms and conditions contained in this agreement.
You further attest that if you are not the sole owner, or representative, of the dog that your consent is sufficient to enter into the Agreement for, and on behalf of, any other owner.
Consent
You entrust Your dog(s) to Emily Rose Pet Grooming for the purpose of the service(s) requested. You understand and are aware that all due care will be taken with Your dog(s) for the safety of the dog(s) and the groomer.
Health & Safety Policies
I will always keep owners informed of any new lumps, bumps or issues that I notice during the grooming process and will inform the owner either immediately or at the end of the groom, depending on the suspected urgency of the discovery.
Flea & Tick Policy
On the discovery of fleas, an additional charge will apply for the appropriate santisation of equipment.
Matting Policy
You are aware that if your dog/s coat is/are matted, the groomer will be required to shave Your dog(s) down and start over with coat growth. Additional fees will apply due to the extra time and wear on equipment this causes.
Acceptance and Acknowledgement of Service Participation Risk
By requesting service(s), You fully understand that:
There are inherent and potential risks involved with interactions between humans and dogs, which may result in property damage or bodily injury, including but not limited to, permanent disability, sickness or death to human or dog; and
There may be other risks not known to Yourself, nor readily foreseeable at this time (collectively, “risk”). You fully accept and assume all risks and responsibility for all risks, including, without limitation, all losses, costs and damages incurred as a result of Your dog(s) receipt of services, including any veterinarian expenses incurred on behalf of Your dog.
Behaviour & Handling Policies
Aggressive Dog Policy
In the event of a dog, or dogs, that cannot be groomed safely without danger to the groomer or others, I may use muzzles, collars, slings, straps, etc. where safe and appropriate.
Right to Refuse Service
I reserve the right to refuse service for any reason. Services may be stopped if necessary for the safety of the dog(s) or the groomer.
Owner Responsibilities & Liabilities
Duty to Disclose
I require owners to disclose any medical issues or sensitivities that could be affected by grooming. This includes long-term pre existing conditions and/or one off occurrences such as recent surgery, dental work at the vets, recent sickness or changes in behaviour.
Toilet Break Policy
I advise owners to ensure their dogs have had a toilet break before arrival.
Pricing & Payment Policies
Pricing Guidelines
Prices may vary based on coat condition and behaviour due to the additional time that these factors cause.
If a price quoted is on booking it is an estimate and is subject to change.
Additional Charges
Extra fees will be charged as detailed above for issues like excessive matting, fleas, or difficult behaviour.
Payment Methods
I accept cash, NFC payment and bank transfer. Payment is due before I leave the premises, on completion of the service.
Refund Policy
Grooming is a service, and refunds are not typically given.
Cancellations
The required notice period for cancellations is 48 hours. This allows the groomer time to fill that space, which can be difficult at short notice. I appreciate your consideration in this matter.
Late cancellations will incur a fee.
Photography & Social Media
You agree to allow Emily Rose Pet Grooming to use Your dog's name and any images or likeness of your dog taken, in any form or format, for use, at any time, in any media, marketing, advertising, illustration, trade or promotional materials. You agree that this provision shall be binding on yourself and all of your successors, heirs, legal representatives and assigns.
Personal Property
You agree that Emily Rose Pet Grooming shall not be responsible or liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal property belonging either to your dog or yourself. You also understand and agree that your dog's collar may be removed to prevent injury.
Privacy & Data Protection
Client Information Handling – Your details will be kept confidential and used only for business purposes.
I will only ask for information that I need to provide the services offered.
I will not use client contact information for marketing, nor do I provide Your data to any third party (unless required to by law)
Your information is only used for the following purposes:
Your name and contact information to validate consent to groom your dog(s) and evidence - where required - that I have received your consent.
Your dog(s) medical requirements to be aware of any concerns.
Your address and postcode to arrive and complete the service(s).
